It is just four days before we leave and very little is done at the house. We have to pack, clean the house, throw out all the garbage, move the Tower Garden, get to AFL... I have the lists made and starting to make piles but these next few days will be busy!
We have made our 'big' plans for the trip. We have our lodging for the drive out and back and we have Yosemite, San Francisco, San Diego and Sequoia planned. I feel as if on THAT end of things I can breathe a little. There are many day trips we can do to fill in the gaps between the larger ones.
Sullivan had 9 (NINE) boys over today so he could get all his playtime in. (Cole, Kyle, Jacob, Ryan, Colin, Nick, Evan, Dylan, Blake). It was a day filled with trampolining, sword fighting and ball throwing.
It has been Sullivan who has said over and over he doesn't want to go. He printed off a four page letter saying "I DON'T WANT TO GO!". It took a few days for the plans to sink in. He started saying things like "When we drive out there will I get to______" or "When we are at the apartment will I _______". I think he is coming around. He's packed his Lego box with all the right blocks.
Seth was ready to go from the beginning. He hasn't had much time to think about it as he's been in audition camp this week. He is also in rehearsals for AFL. Oliver is up for Best Youth Musical and they are reprising Consider Yourself.
This Blog thing is different for me. I hope to keep track of our comings and goings for the next 10 weeks and work on my writing ability.
